Folgende Techniken finden in den Etüden Verwendung: verschiedene Gleitanschlagmuster, Tremolo-Staccato (Duo-Stil), Harfen-Arpeggio-Technik, Tremolo, Lagenwechsel, Akkorde, Verzierungen, Hammer-On und Pull-Offs, Skordaturstimmung, Thema und Variationen, ungerade Taktarten und verschiedene andere Techniken, die zum Repertoire eines eines klassischen Mandolinisten gehören.
Die Kensington-Etudes eignen sich sowohl als kleine einzelne Konzertstücke als auch als technische Etüden für das persönliche Vergnügen sowie die eigene Weiterentwicklung.

The techniques that can be found here are various glide stroke patterns, tremolo staccato (duo-style), harp arpeggio technique, tremolo, shifting, chords, ornamentation, hammer-on and pull-offs, scordatura tuning, theme and variations, odd time signatures and various other techniques required to be a classical mandolinist.
The Kensington Etudes can be used as small individual concert pieces or technical etudes for personal enjoyment and growth.
