Antonina entstand für das “En Masse Orchestra” anlässlich der “Convention of the Classical Mandolin Society of America 2010”, eine Art Kongress, der in Seattle, Washington stattfand. Es ist benannt nach und gewidmet für Antonina (“Toni”) Nigrelli, eine der Gründungsmitglieder der CMSA. Toni dirigierte mehr als 20 Jahre lang das “Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra” und war eine andere wichtige Fürsprecherin seiner Werke. Antonina was written to be performed by the En Masse orchestra at the 2010 Convention of the Classical Mandolin Society of America, held in Seattle, Washington. It is named for, and dedicated to, Antonina (“Toni”) Nigrelli, one of the founding members of the CMSA. Toni has conducted the Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra for over 20 years and has been another strong advocate for Goodin’s mandolin orchestra compositions.
